How to set "Dark Theme" for SSMS 17.3

Dark it IS!!!

  1. Open Notepad as an administrator so you can edit the config.
  2. Open SSMS.pkgundef file under C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\140\Tools\Binn\ManagementStudio
  3. Find the section of code "Remove Dark Theme" heading and add "//" before each line as shown below.

 5. Go to SSMS >> Tools >> options >>Environment  >> Change color to dark >> OK



Enjoy the new look, as its not only the Visual studio which gives the Dark feel now its even the SSMS.
