SQL Server Agent Service Stopped | The process was terminated due to an internal error in the .NET Runtime at IP 00007FF96A6CEEE5 (00007FF96A690000) with exit code 80131506

Last week we faced an issue where SQL Agent service was started after server reboot but after a few seconds it stopped with below error

•    Application: SQLAGENT.EXE
•    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
•    Description: The process was terminated due to an internal error in the .NET Runtime at IP 00007FF96A6CEEE5 (00007FF96A690000) with exit code 80131506.

Root Cause: There is no specific reason available but can be said as due to the .net issue. This could be the one-time issue

Solution: As per one of MS solutions available online, if this issue is repeated it can be fixed by upgrading to .net 4.6.1
